Award-winning quality
The 2022 winners have been announced: the Lewens Portofino awning has been recognised with the German Design Award “Gold” in the “Gardening and Outdoor Living” category.
The German Design Council (GDC) gave the “Gold” award for Excellent Product Design to the Portofino awning, which successfully combines excellent design with outstanding innovative technology.
Lewens is a winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD and is thus one of the recipients of the globally renowned design label.
The Micro 2020 vertical awning was recognised for Product Design in the Garden category. The iF DESIGN AWARD competition is organised once a year by the world’s oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover. The Micro 2020 vertical awning impressed the jury of 98 independent international experts with its innovative functionality, outstanding design and particular ease of use. A large number of applicants were registered and the jurors had to choose a winner of the coveted quality seal from nearly 10 000 submissions from 52 countries.
Lewens has had cause for celebration right at the start of the 2021 season. The company’s designers and management were delighted to receive the GDA Aluminium Profile Award from the German aluminium industry association, the Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie (GDA).
The Plus X Award is the world’s biggest innovation award for technology, sports and lifestyle, recognising brands for leading the way in the quality and innovation of their products.
In 2021, the awning manufacturer Lewens received the Plus X Award’s seals of approval for High Quality, Design, Ease of Use and Functionality for its Murano Integrale Z glass roof as well as a special award for “Maximum Customer Satisfaction”.
